Soul Surfer

Today I went to the movies with my Grandma to see Soul Surfer. I was expecting a happy, summer surf movie and what I saw was so much more. This was such an inspiring movie based on the life of surfer and hawaiian native Bethany Hamilton. At age 13 in 2003 she was attacked by a shark while surfing. That day Bethany lost her arm but not her courage. Her strength and faith in God kept her going and see past her circumstances.

I would recommend this to anyone who is struggling and having a hard time seeing the positive in their current situation. One of my favorite verses was referenced in the movie: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phillipians 4:13

So take your mom, best friend, sister, plenty of kleenex and go see this movie next weekend! You won't regret it :)
