The Fourth

The 4th of July has to be one of my favorite holidays! I love that I can always count on sunshine, bbq and a good fireworks show. This year while my mom and sister were partying it up in LA, I got to spend the holiday with Danny! We went to the city beach in Whitefish and enjoyed every minute of it.

Dan is either hiding from the bright sun, or hiding from me taking a picture. Quite possibly both.

I loved the refreshing hawaiian ice and watching the sunset over Whitefish Lake!

I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Fourth of July!

It Is Possible to Become a Dental Hygienist...

...Yes! It is possible! I am proud to be 1 out of 16 students accepted into the Dental Hygiene Program at MSU Great Falls!

Now if I could get away with using cupcake flavored floss... :)

Sisters Day at Stumptown

Tomorrow my sister is leaving to go to California to stay with my aunt Michelle for one whole month. I will miss her. So for our last day together we went to Stumptown Art Studio in Whitefish...or as Cassidy likes to call it, "Paint a Pot"

I love this place so much! One of my favorite memories here was painting mugs with my BFF Daniella. At the end we exchanged the mugs as a going away present before we went off to college. It was the perfect gift! I could just paint all day in their cozy studio and listen to Ray LaMontagne on the xm radio..it was to perfect way to spend the afternoon with my beautiful sister!

These are our final painted ice cream bowls :)

 I will miss you Cassidy!

Danny, Mosquitoes, and a Glowy Sunset

Practicing portrait photography isn't always easy, especially when you are having a hard time finding most important subject...people! I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take pictures in the beautiful sunshine so I decided to practice taking pictures of Danny and I. We were long overdue for new pictures so I pulled out the tripod and we had so much fun! I loved the way they turned out....no matter how many mosquitoes there were or how ridiculous I felt running back and forth to set the self-timer! Thank you Danny for being a such a good sport, I love you!

California Vacation Part II

The second day of our trip started out just as beautiful as the first. With 70's in the forecast we headed to the coast and were not disappointed! Our afternoon at Paradise Cove in Malibu started out with a delicious lunch at their restaurant on the beach.

Yummy Clam Chowder!

We couldn't have asked for better weather! After the beach, we all headed back home to get ready for Denim's Baccalaurete mass at his school.

It was a great service, we were all so proud of Denim!

...Part III coming soon! :)

California Dreamin'

Today I am going to Los Angeles with my family for my cousin Denim's graduation! I am so excited to see family, enjoy the california sunshine and take lots of pictures.

Vintage Whites Market

Despite the pouring rain, my dream of selling jewelry at the Vintage Whites Market came true! I had a great time and enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces. Here are some pics of the day...

Long line of dedicated shoppers despite the rain!

My first customer of the day..so cute!!

Lucky for us we shared a tent with all the yummy treats!

I can't wait until the next market in July! A nice warm sunny day wouldn't be bad either :)

Little Project

This is my little project I have been working on like crazy for the past 2 weeks! I am a vendor at the first Vintage Whites Market in Somers on May 28th :) It is a shabby chic/anthropologie - type antique market and I am so excited! I will be selling flower hair accessories, headbands and these necklaces!

I would love so much to see you at the market this Saturday!

Girl's Night

Last Friday I helped my mom plan a fun girl's night party at our house. I had so much fun researching yummy recipes and desserts. Here are a few of the appetizers we served...

Dream House

I just started a new job at Pier 1 Imports and I love it so much! That store has always been one of my favorites but working there has it's downsides as well...Spending hours in the store everyday, I can't help but put together my dream house! I am just a typical college student so for now I can just dream and maybe I will get the house I have imagined someday in the future :)

T + D = ♥

I found this little gem while looking through old pictures on my computer. It's from last summer when my boyfriend Dan carved our initials into a log, isn't it the sweetest?

Here are 10 things you may not know about Danny:

1. He is my best friend

2. He makes the BEST smores in the world

3. He is a math genius (future high school math teacher!)

4. His favorite food is macaroni and cheese

5. He challenges me to grow in my walk with God

6. He rubs his eyes when he's sleepy

7. He is a certified lifeguard

8. He suprises me with everything from flowers to suprise visits from Bozeman

9. His blue eyes and smile make me melt

10. He is a natural at country line dancing

Love you Danny!

The Little Things

Today I happened to find a website called Little Things. It is just a collection of over 300 little things in life that make us happy. I couldn't help but read them all and relate to so many little pleasures in life. Who knew a simple little website could brighten my day so much?! Here are some of my favorites:

Waking up to a sunny morning

Being told that you have made someone's day

Freshly baked bread

Logging on to Facebook on your birthday

The first day of wearing a dress after winter

Forehead kisses

Feeling accomplised at the end of the day

The satisfying feeling of making someone laugh really hard

Writing on the first page of a notebook

The feeling after a good workout

The first few minutes when you crawl into bed

When the lights dim before a movie

Crossing things off your To Do list

The first hug from someone you havn't seen in a long time

When people enjoy the food you make
My list could go on forever! Everyone has those small moments in life that make their heart sing. I challenge you to write those things down in a list on even your worst day. I guarentee you that it won't last long if you do :)
